Well the big snow storm hit us hard yesterday! The kids had a snow day and made the most of it. I love snow days! It’s a great excuse to make cookies and be lazy. I hope you are all staying warm!

Did you get any of the thundersnow? I have some friends from years ago when we lived in northern Missouri and they had the thundersnow! Also, the university I used to work at didn’t even close during the blizzard. Craziness!
Yes!! It was so weird. It was thundering and lightening while snowing. Very creepy! Where did you live in Northern Missouri?
We lived in Kirksville, and I worked at Truman State University. Do you know it?
Oh yeah! I have a friend that teaches music there. That is close to us. We are in Quincy, IL.
Yes but by the time it hit us it had lost a lot of its oomph. Just a two hour delay-I was going to go into work late and leave early anyway since the sitter was on vacation, so not much of a change to my day!

I’m in eastern Iowa and we had a snow day as well. As a teacher, I’d much rather have the two hour delay– we don’t have to make those up! Oh well…cookie baking, paper grading, and crafting in our house today!
